Ice, Climate and Environment

Ice, Climate and Environment (ICE) is a group dedicated to research into past and present climate and the environment. Our research focuses on the role of glaciers as well as wind-blown dust withing the changing climate system. Our approach combines field observations, data analysis and numerical modelling to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses.

Glaciological research is concentrated in the following geographic regions

Loess deposits and wind-blown dust

We study loess deposits and wind-blown dust in East Asia to find links with past climate conditions. Read more about our research here.
