Study abroad

The Department of Earth Sciences receive many students and doctoral students from abroad and we pride ourselves of having around 30 nationalities at our department.

As a student here you also have unique opportunities to study abroad. We have own exchange agreements with universities. Other ways of exploring the world is Minor Field Studies for students who want to learn about developing countries and development issues or traineeships at companies, organisations and universities in Europe.

Study at Campus Gotland

Uppsala University’s Campus Gotland is located in Visby, the island’s main town. Visby is a medieval town that has been marked as a historical site by the UNESCO World Heritage programme. A popular landmark is the fortress wall dating back to the 13th century, which surrounds the old city.

Earth Sciences Library

The Earth Sciences Library is a subject library for Earth Sciences and Sustainable Development with library services for researchers, teachers and students at Uppsala University. The Earth Sciences Library is unstaffed, and accessible during campus opening hours. You can contact the library by chat, phone and email via Ask the Library.
